The pattern is made out of repeating scale like shapes. The elements are arranged in a continuous, seamless fashion. Scale armor has been chosen as a key element for this item for its strong symbolic value.
Scale armour (or scale mail) is an early form of armour consisting of many individual small armour scales (plates) of various shapes attached to each other and to a backing of cloth or leather in overlapping rows. Scale armour was worn by warriors of many different cultures as well as their horses.
White gold and yellow gold parts are crafted separately. For this item we are using a proprietary technique of merging two pieces together.
