Targets ring – Here now collection

About the item

The pattern is made out of repeating circles that represent targets also known as “bullseye”. The elements are arranged in a continuous, seamless fashion. Target has been chosen as a key element for this item for its strong symbolic value regarding any ambitious endeavor.

The “bullseye” is the only symbol universally found by archaeologists and anthropologists. Found at the entrances to old Celtic tombs in Ireland, a part of the symbolism of Egypt, Ur of the Chaldees, India, Tibet, China and Maya. It has been variously interpreted as a map of labyrinthine sepulchers, the sun, the secret of life and, even in past ages, an occult form of target.

About the collection

This men’s ring collection is meant to remind you of the present moment.  The future is unforeseen and that one should not leave to chance future happenings, but rather one should do all one can today to make one’s own future better or as the ancient Latin quote says: carpe diem.

Your daily companion

We make sure that our items highlight but not dominate one’s appearance. The objects are certainly not designed to sit in a closed box, but to be worn on a daily basis. The item is an expansion of the key idea of the collection, and only afterwards it is a fashion object, more of an art piece than a visual statement. And since all the items are made to order, it is an art piece that was made specially for you.

Something to be passed down through generations

Solid silver rings have been recovered from The Royal Tombs in ancient Sumner that date to 3000BC. With proper care, your fine-quality sterling silver jewelry will last a lifetime. To minimize scratches and other damage, store your silver jewelry in either a cloth pouch or a separate compartment in your jewelry box. Avoid exposing your silver to household chemicals, like bleach and ammonia or when swimming in chlorinated water, as these chemicals can damage sterling silver.

The reason we ship our silver from Belgium

Because pure silver would be too soft for durable jewelry, an alloy is added to harden the material for longer wear
The reason we ship silver from our Belgian partners is related to the Belgian Law of 11 August 1987 on the warranty of works on precious metals and the Belgian Royal Decree of 18 January 1990 on the warranty of works on precious metals, that guarantees the standards of purity for silver at 92.5% purity. The above guarantees that our Sterling Silver respects the composition as follows: 92.5% silver, 4% copper, and 3.5% zinc. Sterling silver is a standard alloy used for jewelry purposes and is safe to wear on your skin.

Perfecting the care

Care should also be taken to prevent silver tarnish buildup, a dulling that naturally occurs when silver reacts with sulfur or hydrogen sulfide in the ambient air. To clean your silver, use a soft cloth with a polish formulated specifically to remove tarnish. You can find fine silver polishes, solutions, or cloths appropriate to remove tarnish at hardware stores or specialty craft stores. Tarnish is most easily removed when it first becomes visible, although wearing your silver jewelry often is the best way to prevent tarnish from building up. Regular cleanings of all your silver items will prevent tarnish and keep your silver bright and sparkly—and if needed, a fresh coat of rhodium from your local silversmith will restore sterling silver’s original shine.
